Reservations are not required for general visits to our indoor activity center, but please check our hours page before visiting and feel free to call 860.443.4367 with any questions. Reservations are accepted for The Bone Zone activity as space is limited and these events occur at set times each day. If you have an organized group of 20 or more visitors or a Birthday Party you may schedule a group event by contacting our Guest Relations office at 860-443-4367, or fun@NaturesArtVillage.com.
A visit to the Discovery Depot indoor hands-on activity center can take on average between 1 and 2 hours. If you are also visit the Gateway Museum: A Village of Progress and The Dinosaur Place, outdoor adventure park, your visit could take up to 6 hours. There is something for all ages inside Discovery Depot, hands-on indoor activity center at Nature’s Art Village! Children 2 & up are invited to pan for “gold” in Thunder Creek. Ages 4 & up* can dig for crystals and minerals in the Jackpot Mine or uncover dinosaur fossils in The Bone Zone. Children of all ages are encouraged to create a masterpiece in the Crafts Center or have a a geode opened before their eyes! *The Jackpot Mine & The Bone Zone require each child to be out of diapers/pull-ups to participate. This is for the safety and well-being of all guests.
Yes, a variety of food options are available in the Cobalt Cafe, as well as other seasonal locations at Nature’s Art Village. Please visit the Food Page for details.
Parking is always free and we have ample parking to accommodate campers & RVs. There are no overnight facilities.
Yes, Discovery Depot hands-on indoor activity center is open rain or shine! The Dinosaur Place™ outdoor adventure park is also open rain or shine! Refunds and rain tickets will not be given. Nature’s Art Village reserves the right to close the park, indoor facilities and/or cancel any event due to weather.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and debit cards (with a Visa, MasterCard logo); personal checks (numbered 300 and above) with a valid Driver’s License; and good old-fashioned cash! We do not have an ATM on site at this time but there is one located across the street.
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed at Nature’s Art Village for safety concerns.
For the health and safety of our guests, Nature’s Art Village is a smoke-free environment.
Absolutely! You are welcome to take pictures and video inside Discovery Depot, hands-on activity center, and outside at The Dinosaur Place, outdoor adventure park.
