Prehistoric Crocodile Skull Fossil
Today’s Fossil Friday from the Ancient Fossil Shop at Nature’s Art Village features a prehistoric crocodile skull fossil uncovered in Morocco. Although this fossil dates back to the end of the Mesozoic Era, approximately 65 million years ago, it very closely resembles the skull of the modern crocodile, a distant descendant of this prehistoric beast. This particular crocodile skull measures 24 inches long (back to front), 18 inches wide and 8 inches tall.
The Ancient Fossil Shop inside The Shops at Nature’s Art Village features an incredible selection of fossils including this prehistoric crocodile skull and many similar pieces. To see our full selection visit The Shops at Nature’s Art Village on Route 85 in Montville, Connecticut.
Check back next week for a new Fossil Friday!
