About Us

It takes a village to run Nature’s Art Village!

About Us

After over 20 years, Nature’s Art Village continues to be a place of history, fun, and imagination for all! Established in 2000, this expansive campus was the brainchild of the owners of a lovely little fossil, mineral, and bead shop down the road originally called Nature’s Art. Through decades of global exploration, they believed there should be a place where children of all ages (and children at heart) could learn about the natural world around us and interact with our planet’s past in an exciting and educational way. They made it a reality here at Nature’s Art Village with a unique experience that cannot be found anywhere else.

At the center of the campus is the main building, which is home to The Shops. This 6-in-1 shopping center creates an enchanting experience for everyone who steps inside.

  • The Artistic Jewelry Shop brings together a large selection of quality and diverse crystal, mineral, and sterling silver jewelry that you will be hard-pressed to find at other local jewelry shops.
  • The Artful Gift Shop contains such unique items as ethically-sourced butterfly art, stained glass, glassware, stone figurines and games, wood dishware, candles, and more!
  • The Ageless Toy Shop has an item for every child, including a wall of quality plush, STEAM toys, dinosaur box sets and figurines, arts and crafts kits, dig kits, puzzles, and other toys and games.
  • The Absolute Bead Shop is stocked with over 9 million beads, all varying in size, shape, color, and type. It is also home to practically every tool, finding, wire, cord, and accessory you will need to begin your jewelry-making adventure! Did we mention we offer lessons for beginners?
  • The A-Z Mineral Shop and Ancient Fossil Shop, located in our massive Gallery, are home to some of the most beautiful specimens you can find outside of a museum. Ranging from minerals of all shapes and sizes to the skeletal remains of ancient beasts, there are not many places where you can take history like this home with you!
  • BONUS: If you find yourself getting hungry at any time during your shopping adventure, head over to The Cobalt Café, conveniently located inside The Shops. There you will find kids meals, beverages, snacks, sandwiches, pizza, burgers, fries, and more!

On the lower level of The Shops in the main building is Discovery Depot, our indoor activity center. Dig for gems, pan for gold, unearth a life-sized fossil, do some arts and crafts, and have our staff cut a geode in half to take home in this fun and entertaining space. We can host your birthday party here, as well as your Scout, recreational, or school group!

Speaking of taking history home with you, make sure you visit The PAST Antiques Marketplace, located right next door to The Shops! With 90 different vendors exhibiting their unique treasures, this two-level facility is home to some of the most impressive collections of historical items you can find. From World War II memorabilia and early US currency, to lanterns, bird houses and beer taps, you never know what you will find!

Next door to The PAST is the Genius Museum. A village within a Village, you can travel back in time as far as the early 19th century and revel in our many exhibits consisting of original machinery, tools, and trinkets that will tickle your nostalgia. You can even walk into our massive Steam Engine building, which houses some of the largest functioning steam engines in New England!

One of our more recent additions to the Village, Copper Creek Mini Golf is a tournament-level, 18-hole adventure course designed to test golfers with both their putting abilities and their knowledge of minerals. Opal Outhouse, Jasper Junction, and Malachite Mills are some of the more intriguing and challenging holes waiting for you at Copper Creek Mini Golf!

Last but certainly not least, we arrive at The Dinosaur Place! A 60-acre nature park with 1.5 miles of trails and over 50 life-sized dinosaurs is just the tip of the iceberg in this amazing location. Set into a picturesque New England environment, you need to check out our actively-erupting volcano and our caves, which house life-like animatronic dinosaurs! Enjoy our state-of-the-art playground pieces, including our T-Rex Tower, custom SpaceNet, a multitude of slides, ropeways, and bridges, and our A”MAZE”asaurus. We are also home to New England’s largest zero-depth Splash Pad with dinosaur-themed spouts, water dumping buckets and water guns. If you get a dino-sized appetite from your adventure, grab some grub at Monty’s Munchies, a grill and snack shack conveniently located right next to the playgrounds and Splash Pad that is sure to satisfy your taste buds! And of course, once your adventure comes to a close, make sure to grab some ice cream on the way out at The Village Ice Cream Shoppe, located right at the exit of the park!

At Nature’s Art Village, we strive every day to create memorable and enjoyable experiences for guests of all ages, and we have been working toward this goal every day for the last 20 years. We have grown and added to our campus every year so there is always a new exhibit or a new dinosaur for your next visit. We look forward to continuing this growth for the next 20 years and beyond, so make sure to come see us for a DINO-mite time!
