Find Your Age Group: We have 4 hunts spread throughout the park, each for specific age ranges:
• Under 2 years old
• 2-4 years old
• 5-7 years old
• 8+ years old
Register Together: If you have kids in different age groups, register them to the eldest group. For example, a 4-year-old cannot join the under-2 group, but an under-2-year-old can join the 2-4 group.
Time & Arrival: Check your age group’s time slot and arrive 15 minutes early for registration. There will be color-coded signage showing designated age groups.
Follow the Leader: Our friendly group leaders will take you to the designated hunt area within the park.
Hunt Begins! Thousands of empty eggs are hidden, so everyone has a chance to find at least one! (Please limit your collection to 5 eggs to ensure there are enough for every child)
Prizes for All: After the hunt, exchange your found eggs for a guaranteed surprise. In case you didn’t find any: don’t worry! The prizes are guaranteed.
Explore & Enjoy: Stay and play in the park after the hunt! The entire park will be open, and a food truck will be on-site. Keep an eye open for the Easter Bunny for the photo op!

Stomp, chomp, and hunt for eggs like a real dinosaur! The 16th Annual Dino Easter Egg Hunt is back at The Dinosaur Place in Montville, Connecticut, on April 4th, 2026.
Bring your junior paleontologists on an exciting adventure where they will hunt for colorful dinosaur eggs in exchange for a special goodie bag, and explore our dinosaur trails.
And don’t forget to take prehistoric selfies with our VIP guest: The Easter Bunny! Food truck will be on site.
This activity is designed for kids ages 1 to 12; Pre-registration is required.

What does my ticket include?
Your ticket includes entry to our Dino Egg Hunt to hunt for eggs and access to our Dinosaur Park after the hunt. Guest’s collected eggs are turned in and exchanged for a goodie bag.

Can my children be in the same group even if they are different ages?
Yes, siblings can stay together! However, please note that the younger child must move up to the older child’s age group. Older children are not permitted to move down to younger age groups.
When should I arrive?
Please allow yourself adequate time for parking & check-in: preferably 15 min before the start of Dino Egg Hunt for your age group.
Can I change the date/time of my tickets?
This is a one day event, so, unfortunately, no.
Can I buy tickets the day of the event at The Dinosaur Place’s front gate?
No, you can not buy tickets in person the day of this event. You can only register for this event online at TheDinosaurPlace.com.
Do you sell out of tickets for this event?
Yes, being a one day event tickets have been sold out in the past. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.
Are there any refunds?
Refunds will only be issued if the event is canceled. This is an outdoor event, so please make sure you are available for the Weather Day, Saturday, April 11, 2026.
